Our Mission: To equip and inspire students to be active and engaged citizens in a diverse and changing world.

A Note from Mrs. Brady, Principal - November 05, 2021

Dear Shelton Families,

The Shelton STEM Fair is coming up on Tuesday, November 16 from 6:00-7:30pm.

The fair is an evening of hands-on activities for students and families, and a chance for the community to view science projects.  During the school day on Tuesday, November 16, students completing a project will present their work to volunteers and the school.

STEM Fair Steps:

  • Pick a question and decide how are you going to find the answer to your question:
    • Research Project (Ex: What is the difference between turtles and tortoises?)
    • Science Experiment (Ex: Do earthworms like wet or dry places?)
    • Engineering Project (Ex: What is the best shape for a boat?)
  • Register online at the Shelton PTSA website: www.sheltonptsa.org/stem-fair.html, or fill out a paper form by Friday, Nov 12. A parent/guardian should complete registration. One form should be submitted for each student, even if you are working in a group.
  •  Make a tri-fold display board to show your process and results.

For resources to help students visit, www.sheltonptsa.org/stem-fair.html or check out this presentation. If your child would like to complete a project and you need support with acquiring supplies, please reach out to our Family Engagement Liaison, Terri Pankey, at terri.pankey@jeffco.k12.co.us

With gratitude,
