WELCOME TO SHELTON ELEMENTARY

Our Mission: To equip and inspire students to be active and engaged citizens in a diverse and changing world.

From Mrs. Brady

What a fun week of learning, snow storms, fall pictures and more! Like any school year, there were some glitches and processes that need to be tweaked; we appreciate your feedback and patience as we work those out. I am so proud of our students, staff, and families as we have accomplished the herculean feat of getting this school year up and running!

A huge thank you to our PTSA whose support year after year resulted in Shelton being a 1:1 school, which means every student has a dedicated device to use this school year. What an incredible investment in our students. Thank you, PTSA!

A final note regarding drop off and pick up. Our school entrances do not open until 8:35 a.m. Please do not drop students off before this time, as we do not have supervision outside. At pick up, please remain in your vehicles and pull through either the parking lot or the pick up on Crawford Street. A sign with your student’s name and class should be displayed in your car. Please do not park in the parking lot and walk up to get your student. If you are walking home, please wait for your student on the sidewalk near the garden. We thank you for your help in keeping pick up safe, orderly, and running smoothly.

With continued gratitude,
Darby

From PTSA:

Update on the Direct Give & Classroom Competition

We have raised over $5,000 so far --THANK YOU!  Don't worry, there is still time to help us reach our goal of raising $75,000 to directly support our in-person students, remote students, teachers, and staff at Shelton. 100% of funds raised will help support Shelton. Check out the PTSA website for all the details about the Direct Give Campaign including information about how much was raised last year and how those funds were spent. Click here to make a one time or recurring donation. Ask your employer if they have a matching program.  Ask your family and friends that normally support your student for the Coyote Chase, and know your donation is 100% tax-deductible!

The PTSA is awarding the teacher from each grade that has the highest percentage of families participate with a $75 Barnes and Noble gift certificate to help support their classroom.  Help your student's classroom win by donating any amount.  Thank you so much for your support!
