Shelton Elementary School is committed to creating an enriching educational environment that promotes student achievement and success by addressing individual student needs, integrating technology, problem based learning, and encouraging parent-community participation. Our school serves 385 students in preK through 5th grade who come from all over the world. We have seventeen different langauges spoken at Shelton. We are proud of our wide variety of enrichment activities which includes before and after school clubs from STEM, to art and garden clubs. Students have multiple opportunities for to challenge themselves as we remain committed to the National Spelling Bee, drama and music performances and the PTA sponsored National Reflections Contest. Shelton has variety of community engagement activities including our well attended and exciting STEM night, Art, Music, and PE night and our Heritage Fair. Shelton was built in 1994 and is named after Hal Shelton who was a longtime Golden Resident, local property owner and well known Cartographer (map maker.)
